A Little Bit About Me
I grew up in Wisconsin. I graduated from Waukesha West (WI) High School in 2001. I went to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and got my Firefighter and EMT certifications and then was on the Pewaukee (WI) Fire Department until 2006.
In 2006 I quit my job as a firefighter and went back to school to be an educator at BYU-Idaho. I coached basketball for four seasons in the competitive sports program at BYUI and was the director of the league in 2007.
In 2008 I started Locus Live Music, a live music venue and dance club in Rexburg, Idaho and continued to build that business until I graduated in 2010 and moved to Utah. I taught science and coached basketball at Joel P. Jensen Middle School in West Jordan, UT for the 2010-2011 school year and then taught science and coached basketball at Olympus Junior High in Holladay, UT for five years after that until 2016. I taught and coached basketball at Waukesha West (WI) for the 2016-2017 school year, and then taught and coached basketball at Granger High (UT) for two years. I've been at Bonneville Junior High since 2019.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Earth Science Education with a minor in Physical Education. I am also endorsed to teach 7th and 8th grade science in Utah and Physics and Chemistry in Wisconsin. I like Wisconsin sports teams, basketball, weightlifting, and I run a few miles every week.
